The assault caused the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
